Our drinks have a story…

It’s always interesting hearing the history behind a signature drink – especially where the barman actually got the idea! We thought we would share some stories behind some of our Pre-pandials as we like to call them…

Knickerbocker a La Monsieur
First seen in 1869, rum lovers will be catered for in spades with this tipple.  The perfect strong fruity companion on a hot day.

Gold Rum, Cointreau, Maraschino Liqueur, Peach liqueur, Raspberry Puree, Lemon juice

Mojito Bodeguita
Two of Ernest Hemmingway’s favourite tipples include his version of a classic Daiquiri and the Mojito.  We took the Mojito, added a touch of grapefruit and named it in homage to Hemmingway’s favourite bar in Havana

House made spiced rum, Candied Peel Syrup, Mint, Lime Juice

Satan’s Whiskers
This drink first appeared in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail book in the 1930?s and his patrons drank it straight or curled.  Ours comes straight, but ask for it curled if you fancy dancing with the devil

Gin, sweet & dry vermouth, Grand Marnier, orange bitters

Sound delicious don’t they? Why not come in ‘SAY HEY JOE’ and try one for yourself!
